Melissa Fried

Associate Attorney

Melissa Fried attended Wofford University, where she earned degrees in both Government and English. She continued her studies at the Charleston School of Law and interned with the Solicitor’s Office. After graduation, Melissa clerked in the South Carolina Court of Appeals for Judge Pieper for several years, and gained trial experience working for a personal injury law firm.

Melissa joined the Altman & Coker team in 2014. She has a penchant for legal research, appellate work and contracts, and she frequently handles matters pertaining to foreclosure, construction and litigation. Volunteer work is an important part of Melissa’s life outside the office. She is extremely active in the local community, and serves on the Board of Directors for the Florence Crittenton Programs of SC.
